To increase knowledge of role and skills utilised by community mental health nurses including risk assessment, assessment, crisis work, assertive engagement
To increase knowledge about the different professionals roles, skills and responsibilities within this setting
To work with people who suffer from a wide range of mental health illnesses and how the care is tailored to individual’s needs
To increase knowledge and skills in working with this group of clients – to attend different clinics (health, depot, clozapine), group work (anxiety and depression, social, dialectic behavioural therapy), individual work in the community
To increase awareness of recovery and how it is being implemented within community mental health team
To increase knowledge of different treatment approaches e.g. cognitive behavioural therapy, occupational therapy, psychosocial interventions in the community
To increase knowledge about services available in the community
To increase knowledge about legislation from community perspective
